How do you deal with the fear of being attacked while /out/?
In the darkness that no urban-dweller can understand, you cannot see the aggressor before it is too late. In the middle of nowhere, no one will hear you scream.
How do you remove the fear? Is keeping a light source throughout your waking hours a good idea or will it serve as a beacon to all mentally ill hobos to attack you? Does travelling with at least one person remove this fear completely?
