The frequency depends on the plant, the soil, the container, the temperature, the humidity, etc.

For seedlings, you generally want the soil to be moist, but not dripping wet.

What are you trying to grow?

stick your index finger in the soil halfway if it comes out dry then water it and if its damp then leave it for a little
you can generally tell that the soil is dry too plus leaves generally start to droop after lack of water but they will come back no problem after being watered
