Hey /out/,

I'm going to be spending about 8 days in the wilderness in BC, Canada towards the end of September. While I've definitely spent time in colder Northern climates (working in ND), I've been living in the desert long enough that I've outgrown or given away all of my fall / winter season gear.

So, I need some new stuff to get me through the cold, wet weather I'm going to be experiencing. I'm looking for...

- Boots.
- Base layer.
- Insulating layer.
- Outer layer.
- Gloves.
- Maybe a set of lightweight rain gear.

For boots, I know I like leather and high tops. I was looking at a pair of Danner Canadian 10" 600g. Through my work, I can get them for $150.00 which seems hard to beat. Does anyone have any experience with these? I figured with a thin layer and wools over that with these boots, I should be good.
