>>371480I don't know if there are any good translations into English, but as a German I've always loved the Karl May stuff. Granted, it's not based on first-hand experience, has simple plotlines and and a nonsensically overpowered protagonist and I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's utter nonsense ethnologically speaking, but I think it's superb /out/ yarn.
