So, how does /out/ make it's coffee?

Picture very related, they're a bit expensive, but it's excellent coffee and I like being able to burn them afterwards!

Titanium has an advantage I discovered by accident: It cleans up easier than stainless steel. For some reason, food doesn't stick to it as much as other materials. And it's light. I don't bring dish soap backpacking anymore, so more weight saved. If I still drank coffee I'd try to find one of these. Titanium cookware is expensive, but worth it, IMHO.

Makes a good cup for how quickly it works. The strength ends up being between an espresso and a french press, so usually advisable to add a little water to make an americano.

With a jetboil and this, I can brew a cup of coffee in less than 2 minutes.

While I prefer a french press, and have used a stainless thermos type before, the aeropress is much lighter, faster, smaller, and WAY easier to clean than a french press. (literally push the puck of coffee out, wipe the end of rubber, put back in bag)

Do not get a percolator, it's the worst way to make coffee, as your coffee is being continually over heated as it's returned back down to the burning hot bottom of the pot.

Yep. Unless you learned how to do it as a wee lad at your great-grandmother's house (which I did), you'll likely make burned slag instead of coffee.

I don't want to have to wash out my jetboil. I use it strictly for water, unless I know it is the last time I'll be using it on the trip. Also, french press coffee takes about 4 minutes to brew after mixing the grinds with water, while the aeropress is 30-40 seconds.

The lid bangs around all the time and the hinge is weak.

It's heavy. It only makes one cup of espresso, and is useless for groups.

The remains of my 6 cup currently serve as a pencil holder.

They're made for kitchens, not the woods. A french press will weight less and be able to make coffee for 3+. Can also be used for other things unlike a moka pot.
