stomping grounds thread.... I live on the wasatch back between park city and Uinta national forest. But I often head south to canyon lands or Bryce for desert sessions though.

Tofino, bamfield, west coast trail once a year. A lot of day trips to islands along the east coast.

Got an over abundance of hiking and outdoor recreational activities in and around the city. It's supposed to rain all weekend tho so im heading to kelowna to check out some cliffs and train bridges. I was supposed to go to elsay lake on the other side of mt.seymore but again that hike will have to wait. elusive elsay lake. grr

Actually, if you get the chance, check out the Enderby Cliffs. 7km hike, and its fucking awesome.

Southwest Colorado, near Gunnison, Lake City, etc. I usually don't bring my camera, but this was taken at the peak of Uncompahgre (14K+ feet) on one of my hikes last October. I try to go on these 14ers once every few weeks when the weather is nice. The views are just breathtaking.

My stomping grounds? I spend most my time in the Gifford Pinchot NF, and pretty much anywhere between Rainier and Hood.

I did, too. Not there at the moment, but Santa Monica. Like a block from SMC, next to the graveyard.

I choose to believe water quality reports that Dockweiler actually is the cleanest water in the city, even if it's bizarrely warmer than everywhere else and the sand is littered with cigarettes and Mexicans. Mostly I go out into the Sierra Nevadas or up the coast.

nice. same dude, btw. I live in the SFV. The Santa Monica mountains are my favorite around here. Done a few trips through the San Gabriels and some camping trips in Sierra Nevada country, but never walking through the mountains. Making it a goal to do the JMT soon.

As for the beach thing, all the beaches here are relatively uncomparable to the ones up North in terms of cleanliness. Ever since I was spoiled with Rodeo Beach right above San Fran I've had trouble enjoying any sort of beach excursion since.
