I use 4" knives, big knives, machetes and axes of all size. They all have their uses.
A big knife can do anything a small one can too - and so can axes if you improvise.
The anti-chopper agenda needs to stop.
You can fell a sapling, limb it, buck it, split it, rough out a spoon, then finish it all with a small knife. but you will be improvising your way trough most of that.
But look at how much easier and quicker you can do most of that with a big camp knife or even a small axe.
And when it comes to butchering game, the big knife wins no contest.
All blades have their purpose. I use a 3-4" knife, 10" knife, and axe. All of them are valid choices
