Looking to plan a 3-4 day backpacking and camping trip in the Manistee National Forest in Michigan this summer. Anyone have experience out there?

Yeah, spent a lot of time there fishing on the Pine, Manistee and Little Manistee Rivers. Not familiar with any trails that would take that long to hike though. Beautiful area

It is. My parents moved near there. Now that I think about it, the next time I go visit them (and the weather is nice) I might just set out right from their house and walk to find a suitable spot to camp. That might be an adventure.

never went backpacking but a couple friends and i would take my van up there for a few days and set up a tent in the local campground for a few days.
we would mainly either smoke weed and chill at the beach or eat shrooms and explore the sand dunes.
shit was cash
