Hey /out/, I come seeking advice. I want to live in a forest in the Colorado Rockies. I'm going to move next summer, which gives me plenty of time to prepare.
I really only know the extreme basics of survival. I want to know how I can accomplish this with minimal gear (only what I can carry on my back) and what literature or resources I might look at to guide me in the right direction.
So basically I need to know how to make traps, avoid large animals, what plants/mushrooms to eat, how to make shelters for winter, etc. If it gets too extreme I plan on hitchhiking around the country.
