>>393105try microfleece long underwear.
overall I like your style though. you sound like a canadian.
so some stuff and how I feel about it.
-bahco folding saw. I'd never go out without it now.
STUFF I HAVE:
-light my fire mora. I like the rubber grip, the ferrorod is nice to have there. little disappointed it's got some rust on it, as it's stainless steel and I thought as a fishing knife it would be fine.
-sven saw. great saw, a little too big to be carrying around. it now sits in my trunk just in case.
-Maglight 2xDcell LED. great illumination and solidly built. I got my dad the 3xDcell and it has 10 times the battery life at a minor penalty for illumination distance. get the 3xDcell one.
NOTE: they sell a kit with colored lens covers which is useful if you don't want to be spotted as easily (use the red).
-LL bean solar/crank lantern and flashlight set. bought some time ago. the solar part is really just a supplement but the crank comes in handy when your other lights die prematurely. light is adequate and I'd count these as something that will get the job done but would not be my first choice. Great choice for keeping in the car.
-Fiskars hatchet. for all the shit people give these, it has been great to me and the edge it can take and keep is second to none.
STUFF I WANT:
-Luci light. Very interested in these. seems simple and effective and packable.
-pathfinder school stainless steel canteen. stainless canteen, cup, and grill top stove. why wouldn't you have this?
-solo stove. cook food with twigs in this efficient little stove. or so the endorsements say.
-12' DAIWA Tenkara Rod Enshou-LT36S-F made of 98% HVF High Density Graphite Carbon. 17.4" retracted telescoping rod. I think this would be perfect for the backpack in the trout rich areas I frequent. I had looked into the tenkarausa hane which is only slightly smaller and apparently casts like shit. After some reading up I thought this rod would be the best choice.
