I've had two that I've loved -
Georgia Giants, steel shank.
RedHead 6" work boot.
When I was in the Army, they issued us some pretty good boots, but weren't nearly as comfortable as my GeorgiaGiants or RedHeads.
I hike like a motherfucker and don't want boots with a weak back part because sometimes that shit rolls and fucks up the skin on my Achilles.
I would prefer a taller boot for more ankle support, but it's not necessary.
Suggestions?
