>>398550I've used a few different types of blow dart guns for hunting. Those little ones, even with the "hunting" tip are fucking terrible. They rarely fly true and even when they hit properly there's a good chance it doesn't do anything significant enough to stop the animal long enough for you to catch let alone kill it. You can get a rare 1-hit kill on wee small stuff like starlings. Frogs are just like, "fuck you" and hop off to deeper water nearly every time due to having some archaic nervous system that lets their parts move even if cut off.
However, the blow dart guns that use darts that are around 18" to 24" and the tubes are much longer than most people are tall are fucking deadly as shit. You can bring down a deer with those, but that requires skill just to get to the proper distance from the deer and lots of lung practice..
