Brass construction with a simmer ring for heat control and a cap with an O-ring which is the only part that needs replacement every 10 or so years. Best part of this stove is that you can store fuel in it, so you don't have to worry about cleaning out the alcohol before you pack up.
There are lighter and faster-boiling systems, but none with such an outstandingly durable and simple construction, and with the ability to use so many non-proprietary fuels.
