Winter is almost here and soon enough, many of us will need to start wearing (or buying) winter boots.

Pic related is what I currently own. The boot says it's rated at -20 degrees celsius. I have no idea what that even means. Could someone explain those "temperature ratings"?

I'm also looking for something that would be warmer and more durable than the Pajars. Could anyone make any recommendations? The boot will have to be high enough and have a tight enough closure as to not allow snow to enter. A very high water resistance is also very important.
