Hey /out/ I have noticed a few boot threads with some useful info out there already but they aren't exactly what I'm looking for.
Recently I went backpacking and I realized my boots were to tight about midway through. The whole way back my toes were super sensitive and sore and when I got home my big toes were black and blue, this was three weeks ago and I figure the nails will fall off in a few months time. After this ordeal I obviously need some new boots.
I'm some what of an avid backpacker, I try to at least get one hike or backpacking trip in a month.
I mainly hike in Southern California and areas relatively close to it.
The boots I need have to be able to put up with 1-7 day trips.
I don't have any real preference to brands or any boot specs as long as they are
>waterproof preferably
>not Velcro
My spending Max wil most likely be around $250 but if someone helps me find "that special pair" I would consider spending a bit more.
If you do have some boots for recommendations it would be appreciated if you could post some brief info on experiences with the boots and general explanation on why they are GodTier and the downsides if any.
>Also
If any other /out/doorsman are looking for boots feel free to post what kind of boots you are looking for and what sort of activities they will be used for to help those with info.
>Last part
If any of you have some boots that you don't recommend please share why, please keep the debate (if any) about boots civil and don't wish death upon eachother over boots. Save that shit for some bickering about the best kind of HotPockets
>thanks /out/
