I want nothing more than to save up, build my own tiny house, and live off the grid in the middle of fucking nowhere.

It is a pretty intriguing idea, provided I'd have an area outside to grow things and move around.

Get a cheap bit of land in the wood and build a cabin for you and your buddies to hang out in, or just a solitary shack and plonk it in the ground like pic related.

Living alone for long periods of time is horrendous for people because we are built for social interaction, even if it is just seeing other people irl, it stops us from going crazy and fulfilling that need with perverted shit (i.e. Wilson in 'Castaway').

Find a room of your own, but keep a common touch with society.

Props to OP, Fencl is the coolest one. I actually have access to some land in the woods and plan to build a tiny 10'x10' cabin with no utilities. Water will be provided by a hydraulic ram pump from the stream that runs through it into a small water tower. Solar will eventually be implemented, and heat will be provided by a small wood stove when it gets really cold. Should be a fun summer project.

You could get a long range wifi dish on either side and a laptop with solar charger. I can easily get a couple miles without getting custom gear. If you go into a 5ghz band you will be good

Ive been looking at property in North Michigan to drive this up and ground it. for a evtra spot to go. When this gets to small I will get a bigger one and turn this into a chicken coop or storage or mabe a smoke room-whatever I have no plan writen in stone except get these 5 acres attached to thousands with lakes and streams on it. I was even thinking of a small house as a cabin.But the inside of this is mint. My dog and I can be real comfy in the van alone. I camp in this in my back yard and I would rather take my van since it has all the motorhome has but space.

you have to deal with mechanicals like an engine or transmission. those cost lots to fix or replace. trailers you can just hitch up to replaceable transportation and get extra mobility, less gas use, and parking when deatched. i also don't think larger space is really necessary or efficient to heat.

Sell everything you own, use the money to buy a plane/greyhound ticket and only essential supplies. Go into the woods and build a home out of the wood from shipping pallets, duct tape, hay for insulation and a breaker box for a stove. Save up and come to amedica. The Virginias, North Central Arkansas, the Colorado Rockies, (Arcada, Cali) umongst the Redwoods, or the Arizona Desert if you like the heat. The thing about america is that in the summer, Arkansas and the Virginas are hotter than the desert due to humidity. Murricuh isn't nearly as bad as you think. Just avoid people and it's actually really awesome.
