>>425667The mode we chose truthfully was very plush. the guides do everything for you. They paddle if you dont want to, they cook all the meals (which were all damned good) salmon, tri tip, chicken fajitas, fresh green salads, sushi, bacon, pancakes, sausages, salsas, ect... As well as cleaning and cooking the fish we caught. Which is kind of nice.
Drinks were also provided iirc it was 4 soft drinks and 4 beers a day per person. We brought a lot of extra beers, wine and a few bottles of hard alcohol.
We chose the much harder route with higher class rapids because most of us already yak.
Though theres tons of river sections to float that you can bring the kids along.
Everything is provided sleepwise though you do bring your own pillow and bag. the sleep pads are plush like 4", their tents are single walled 3 man, porta toilet is a nice design (just like home) and was always placed somewhere scenic overlooking the river. You shit right out in the open off to the side secluded from camp. If the tp is missing from the post someone isa shittin' many glorious morning shits were had!
The guides were somewhat knowledgeable about the area and always had some fact about the area rolling off their tongue (we had a geologist and a biology phd with us they proved to be a bit more informative) but read up a little on the area, the extra knowledge helps develop the lands story.
They didnt mind us bring along our own yaks and SUP's.
One night we ate some shrooms and had a loud late night bonfire which the guides didnt seem to mind. They didnt mind some of us smoking spliffs either.
Cool bunch of people...
