Is it possible to walk 85 miles in 2-4 days? If so what do I need to know? I have 12 dollars to spend on food. I need to be at my destination on Nov 27th at the lasted.

if you walk all day and are in good shape you can probably manage it in 4 days. i doubt you'll make it in any less if you are asking this question. 4 days would be just over 21 miles a day. but i doubt you'll do it on 12 dollars worth of food though.

I've walked 35 miles in a day before, but I couldn't walk nearly at all the next though.
I'd give yourself an extra few days and an extra 40$ for food.

I've walked between 56 and 65 miles in a day and I only felt a little tired and sore at the end of it. I guess I was feeling wobbly enough I cut my itinerary short and took a train back home, though.

But -- it's the NEXT day that'll kill ya. OMG, my legs, my poor, poor legs.

I didn't build up to it or anything, though. With enough preparation I think this could be done for 4 consecutive days without croaking.
