Went for a hike yesterday in my general purpose hiking boots and my toes got a bit chilly when I stopped moving, so for today's excision I'm giving the ol' winter boots a go. (pic related)
Trouble is, I forgot that the sole is peeling off the upper on one of them. There's no snow now, but I remember them letting the cold/wet in at the end of last winter. So I need new boots before the fluffy stuff starts falling.

>I want to be able to hike in em (admittedly not very far, mile or two each way), do all my in town stuff, wear em every day, but be able to thrown on extra socks and sit and watch the birds for a spell.
