Awww yea, greatest adventure yet confirmed! I bought plane tickets to Tel Aviv. Going with a friend, we'll spend almost all February there. Our goal is to complete at least some parts of the Israel National Trail, so we better start planning it. I wonder if there are any israelis here that can give me any advice? I will keep this thread updated with my preparations and information I find out, if anyone's interested.
So far, as a europoor, I find it hard to understand how does one hike in the Negev desert, it is said it's a very hard trail there since there's no water supplies and you have to pay loadsa monies to have the water delivered, so no desert for us? And there's plenty of water and vegetation in the Northern District I gather? And it is not very safe for tourists at this time to venture into the West Bank because of angry ayrabs, so the Dead Sea is prob out of the question too? Would be great if someone here had some answers, ty in advance friends.
