Because science is an INDUSTRY. Because science is about EGO and PROFIT. Because people will publish genuinely BAD SCIENCE, hide or omit results which do not fit their conclusions, for PERSONAL and CORPORATE PROFIT.
Do you know that prestigious western and american scientific journals and publications have actually unilaterally edited submissions that contradict the status-quo?
I know scientists that have been working in R&D for decades, and they just shake their heads and sigh. They will tell you how much genuinely false science is published.
Why do you think the scientific community goes through cycles of "innovation" on the same issues over and over? Because people publish bad science, it gets adopted as dogma, and then it takes years or decades for people en masse to actually realize and accept that they were wrong, and misled.
