British reality show called "Can Fat Teens Hunt?", where morbidly obese idiots get shipped to a remote hunter/gatherer village in Borneo. Hilarity ensues.

I was only able to find the first few episodes online, so I have no idea how it ended, but what I saw was pure gold.

I'm liking the legend of mick dodge right now. A lot of it is fake but he's pretty funny, the leatherwork and the scenery of the how rainforest is beautiful and it's pretty entertaining.

I'm also watching live free or die which is pretty good as well, like their different lifestyles and methods of gathering food, building, etc

Ben fogle;new lives in the wild is great as well, shows plenty of people living in the wild in different places and climates.

Started watching Hillbilly Blood on Netflix recently. It's pretty fun watching their shenanigans and how they get out of trouble.
Wish they had more episodes online but I'll get it at my leisure soon enough.

Hell yeah. Did you see the one with that old couple living way out in Alaska, about a day's flight out from Anchorage?
Their house was ultra comfy, but Fogle kept bitching about them trapping animals for a living. It was really annoying - how else are they supposed to realistically survive out there?

Good episode otherwise though. Lovely place, shocking how comfy that main cabin of theirs was. The woman had a scary look to her like, but they both seemed like nice people.

I did get mildly "OMFG YOU'LL BLUNT THE SHIT OUF OF YOUR CHAIN CHOPPING INTO DIRT LIKE THAT" for a moment but fuck it, it's been working for 'em for fuck knows how long so meh. And the way she drop started the saw and no one had even a helmet or gloves - fuuuuck.

Life Below Zero, I agree wholeheartedly. That bad bitch who lives 200 miles north of the Arctic circle jacking polar bears is my favorite. She was on Joe Rogan's podcast recently.

Survivorman is great too, no fakeness/reality TV bullshit, just man, his cameras, and the wilderness. Plus he actually demonstrates quite a bit of useful knowledge.

so many "survival experts", so many horrible, horrible decisions. recent seasons have gotten better, with people that actually know shit about going /out/. the episode where the guy brought goggles to spear fish, but couldn't swim and was afraid of sharks was hilarious.

watching a recent episode where they fucked up cooking a snake twice made me mad though. it's not that hard to roast a snake over an open fire, but they tried to smoke it for some retarded reason.

man vs wild is the worst show on the list by far, oddly enough i own a bear grylls ferro rod.

Dual Survival is easily the most fun show to watch, despite how fake it is(all of these shows are fake as hell, even lord mears), you might even learn a few things from this show.

Ray Mears has the best and most informative show, i just wish he didnt do so many goddamn africa episodes.

Thing I like about lord mears (aside from all the obvious) is that he doesn't pretend it's life or death for him, or that he sleeps in every shelter he makes etc etc. He's a teacher, and he teaches.

One that I havent seen mentioned (and Im sure most here wouldnt watch it) is Man Woman Wild. I just find it entertaining to see Myke try to deal with a situation with his wife nagging or slacking behind.

The Colony by like the discovery channel is pretty good, even though some things seemed pretty cheesy and the characters knew they werent in any REAL danger, the cast was actually living there the whole time, and are real people except one guy who is an actor.

John Cohn is a pretty cool guy too
