Come on, man, read between the lines a little.
As for you, OP, I'm afraid I don't know. It would depend heavily on the size and the location of the proposed farm, and how many people are working/building it, and perhaps if all of those people will be dependent on the farm or not in the subsequent years. (maybe contracting workers is an option?)
And are there any structures on the land that could be used, or does everything start from scratch?
I think it can be done, if there is enough established infrastructure before the project begins. But there is simply too many unknowns at the moment to assume a favorable situation. I'd say it would be a very challenging undertaking and not something I would wish on anyone if their survival depended on their success.
