I didn't get a picture of it but there is a Ring-tail Cat that lives in an abandoned cabin I've spent a couple of nights at. Keeps the rodents away which in turn keeps the rattlesnakes away

It's technically more Raccoon than anything but it's cute and smart. Lured me and my dog outside so it could go in and get some of my food.

I carried her back to my camp and gave her squirrel scraps for the rest of the week. Easier to handle than any chicken I've ever had

Her wing had obviously broken and healed wrong months or years earlier so I took her home and now she lives with some DNR birdlady that rescues and rehabilitates raptors for educational purposes

you really shouldn't pick up salamanders.
Some species are incredibly fragile and they can absorb oils through their skin, and a few species actually have trouble with human body oils.

Most can handle it, but you can actually kill some by touching them.

Other than that, I enjoy your pics. Dry Side here, and my cell phone camera is shit, otherwise I would post some.

I had parked my bike up on a big rock. Camera was on the tripod and set up for long-exposure night shots, next thing I know there's an owl circling.

Summer 2010, long trip through Yellowstone, put some miles on in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho on the bike.

Didn't get out on the bike much this year, it needed a LOT of work.... and with sled season in full swing (racing, riding, backcountry avalanche/navigation lessons) I didn't get started on the bike teardown till late May... wasn't till August that I got it back together.
Next summer's game on though, I'll do a piston/top-end in about a year.

Poking around on Google Earth, found a couple more mines I want to check out that aren't too far from my place either. Easy day ride.
