>>433875Just bought my mum a used one for Christmas actually!
They're the quintessential semi-auto .22 of North America.
Guys love them cause for $325 CAD up here, you get a do-all package. It's got great sights, has a very reliable action, great barrel, loads of after market shit.
My only recommendation is you make absolutely sure you set a price threshold on what you want to spend for ESSENTIAL ONLY upgrades.
Example:
- I hated the stock irons on the one I just bought, they were sorta faded/ruffed up so I bought fibre optics for it. Great buy going hi-vis.
- Rail for some optics or glass. Don't blow a retarded amount on a optic for a 10/22. $70 Tasco scopes are actually great for this application.
- Pick a stock that works for you. I prefer the stock polymer black one they sell because its light as all hell. The wood walnut stocks look fantastic, but I love light little plinkers.
- Buy good magazines (Butler Creek) and save yourself the time and patience of battling with shitty ones.
For the love of god too, don't fucking shit it up with a ton of fuckin' tacticool accessories. It's a gopher gun, not a fuckin' ISIS slaying, body stacking battle rifle. Grow up you wannabe COD plugs.
