Anyone here had any experience with Wolverine 1000 Mile boots? Thoughts?
I'm looking for some good out doors boots, mainly for hiking etc.

My Merrell Moabs are amazing. Lightweight and have lasted almost 5 years. I don't like the high ankles, though

I personally wear goretex combat boots that I got during my service and they've never failed me so far, even saved my ankles and toes on quite a few occasions. You could try looking into your local army surplus store.

i got myself some for Christmas. fucking amazing.
i've never worn a better pair of boots. lightweight, comfy as fuck. i got the mids for the extra ankle support. it would be very hard to convince me i'd like another boot better, other than an asolo. those are ridiculous and i know guys that have been wearing them almost everyday for 10-15 years without more than a few scratches on them.

hmm.. i'm a big guy so i chew through my boots it seems no matter what.. 4-6 months and they're donezo.. i love my current pair though which are salomon 4D GTX. when they start to leak or tear i just return them to REI and get a new pair (being a member is actually pretty cool).

The most important thing is the fit. Try on different brands and get a pair that is comfortable, but not too tight.

And by that I mean to imply that the brand of a pair of hiking boots really doesn't matter. Any boot that retails around $80 or more these days is going to come with pretty much the same feature set and the same quality control as any other.

That said, doing a little research on the Wolverine 1000 Mile boots, these don't appear to be hiking boots. Smooth bottoms will slip right out from under you at the first muddy hill.
