I found a flaw with bears

Bears are omnivores, but most have a diet consisting entirely of plants and fish. So why do they need to be buff as heck and be able to run fast? Something is fishy here.

But if all bears are fast, then it's a moot point. They could just as well all be slow, and the chances of outrunning another bear wouldn't change.

Anatomically they're not designed for speed. Relative to humans they're fast, but not to other animals.

Bears are mostly opportunists. And have no problem eating whats easy. But they can and will chase down and eat prey. Plus they don't have to be scared of much ecxept other bears.

it's just a result of interspecies aggression. Bears must compete with their most fierce competitors--- other bears. They compete for mates/food, just like humans actually.

A male bear will kill a female's cubs if she is not pregnant with his offspring.
It's just evolution at work, organisms trying to replicate their genes in an environment with limited resources. This is why deer have antlers, to fight each other.

You don't think that the density of black bears in a given location being so much greater than the density of polar bears in a similar-sized area had anything to do with this?

Pretty much every large mammal in the woods. All occasional prey items of fast-moving bears.

No. They can move freakishly fast when motivated. Bears routinely top 35 mph over short distances.

This guy is pedaling for his fucking life on a vehicle at like 30 miles per hour, and the bear is keeping up with him no problem. Can Usain bolt run 30 miles an hour? No. A bear would catch and eat him without second thought. You are retarded.

Bolt can approach 30 mph but only for a few seconds. Grizzly can run at 30 mph for considerably longer.

some bears can ran faster than others for any number of reasons including age, overall health, diet, genetics, etc
