>>439361I suppose this is as good a place as any to ask, but I've never posted here before (regular user of k), so go easy on me.
I'm going to start getting into bushcraft and such this year when the winter breaks with a friend of mine, and from researching the topic quite a bit and coming on here occasionally, I need a decent axe or hatchet. I was talking to my dad about it as well to see if he had any old stuff I could use, and he went rummaging through his workshop and manged to dig something up, being pic related. It's an old roofing hatchet (I believe that's what he said) from the 40's or 50's, but he didn't mention a brand, and there doesn't seem to be any mark or stamp on it anywhere.
My question is, would it be worth it to clean it up and re-haft it and use it for what I intend to do with it, or not even bother? I have more pics of the hatchet as well in case anyone needs to see more.
