>>440327Human taxidermy is already a thing, it's called mumification
>>440336Not sure, I don't mount domestic animals, a bighorn sheep has no fear of cliffs so they won't push back, your mom probably would though, I'd like to mount her overlooking a cliffscape
Basic mammalian shoulder mount
1.) Carefully remove cape with razor or scalpel paying special attention to lips, eyes, etc. Also remove skull cap/antlers with a sawzaw or hacksaw
2.) Pack in salt
3.) After salting place in cape soup for soaking and softening, each taxidermist uses his own proprietary ingredients, my secret ingredient is Lysol 3 in 1. Afterward thoroughly clean out all dirt and grime
4.) Flesh out cape on a flesher or with a scraper if small game
5.) Prepare styrene mount, rasp it, accenuate it with clay, smear in contact cement, screw in skull cap, place cape on, tack it down, lots of tacks on face so cape adheres well to veins, nasal folds, etc.
6.) Sew it up, I use spider line with a lock stitch 7.) Place in jaw set, eyes, set ears, etc.
8.) Brush it smooth and especially on stitch line down spine to hide it
9.) Profit
Habitats are made out of a hybrid of natural materials and paper mâchè. Reptiles and birds are similar except reptiles require painting and birds require tumbling, fish are an entirely different process requiring specialized chemicals and a lot of air brushing
