i'm used to relatively dry areas, but i just moved to the PNW. i always used to start a fire every night, but now i'm thinking i'll need a nice camp stove.. any suggestions?

Actually, for chopping off hands, which are carried around in bags and used for further identification. You do not actually "slit" someones throat. You stab them in the side of the neck, and work your blade forward cutting the larynx first (so they cannot scream) and then cutting the Carotid Arteries. For stealth killing, you would not use an AX but in a hand to hand situation I would rather have one. Just sayin.

Funnily enough I was in the same position as you two days ago. I came to /out/ and saw an axe thread. I went from wanting that tacticool toy to wanting a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe which are the same prices in my country (closer to Scandinavia than America so the different shipping and customs fees equal out the prices) and GB is one of the highest rated axe manufacturers while that is a stainless steel toy.

if you need an axe an actuall hatchet would be better for the added weight on the head. this is the factor that matter when processing wood. substituting with a longer handle does not balance this out.

of course, this is only if you don't want to go all 1337 specops tacticool mallninja in your basement. if that's the case, then >>>/k/ would be better.
