Going to spend 10-14 days solo in Mt. Robson Provincial Park pretty soon.

What does /out/ think of my kit?

Not pictured: GB forest axe - linseed oil is still drying. Bear cans are full of food (oatmeal, home 'made' instant soup mix, etc).

I haven't done a total of this exact gear, but my quick estimate would be about 80lb all in. Luckily almost all of it will be in the sled.

My lightest multiday winter getup is around 50lb all in, and this is a fair bit more robust than that.

TBH my last total for gear was around $8,400 (I was keeping track of everything on a spreadsheet for a while), so by now it's definitely closer to $9,000 including axes and the like.

This also includes a few big items like a $1350 down suit, but still, shit is expensive, even though I buy on sale as much as possible unless I need something for an immediate trip.

just did a weekend winter camping, although not in the mountains.

if you want to save yourself some energy(depending on your itinerary) you can get a pelican ice fishing sled from canadian tire for 40$ and slide your gear around. i strap one to my rucksack and ruck it around rough terrain.

you can obviously get a more expensive one since you look like a richfag, i believe the "viking" brand makes higher end ones.

Thanks, I will be using a calf sled from Peavey Mart that I rigged with paracord and dry climbing rope. It's hard to see in the picture but it is under the duffel bag.

I've tried multiday snowshoeing before without a sled and it is straight up murder.
