That said, while you certainly won't freeze in them I can't recommend them for extended outings in temperatures below about 25F. If you're looking for three-season boots then Pronghorns are an excellent choice through and through but if you need a winter boot then I'd go with either 200gr or 400gr thinsulate. 600gr and 800gr ratings are overkill for pretty much anywhere outside of the arctic circle IMO.
