>>444605Do you want to backpack? You can look into backpacking visas. Australia does them. You can work a little while you travel to earn money. You could do that now with what you have. In Oz you can't stay at one job for more than 30 days, and it's a 6 month visa. You can see a lot for $10k if you do it cheap, and right. Stay in youth hostels, get a packpack, and travel by train a lot. You pretty much can go anywhere, it just depends on how long you can go there. It all depends on how you want to travel. Nice hotels, or youth hostels. Taking the bus or trains, or flying.
Also, traveling during the off season can save you tons of money. Off season in tropical/SE Asia is nice. It's not going to be super cold, like off season in Canada, or parts of Europe. You also wont have to deal with tourists.
Try to book your hostels/hotel rooms in advance to save the most money. Maybe find some other groups of young people traveling. Share rooms, save money. Try not to get robbed.
