if you want detailed answers, you need to give us specifics. where in scotland? how much land? how close to town? are you attempting to go full hermit mode and live in a cave somewhere, or do you plan on building a cabin/shack of some sort? what sort of utilities/infrastructure (water, electricity, etc) will you have access to?
if you're just planning on living in a tent in the woods in scotland, you're most likely going to freeze to death or give up in a very short amount of time.
