An urban EDC is pretty basic, and should really be a no-brainer for anyone who cares about being prepared. My "backcountry EDC" contains everything in my overnight pack, and is much more broadly oriented. I don't have to worry about surviving the night, or staying dry in the rain, when I'm in an urban or suburban setting because I have my car, public buildings, my workplace, and my home, which all provide shelter, thus negating the need for survival gear.
