Favorite piece of kit /out/?

Has to be a toss up between the spotlight or my knife. Going to lean towards the light after the time on the moors. Saved my ankle more than a few times.

atm it's my Fenix LD-20 torch. Not much of a gear-head until I compared this beauty to a couple of old maglites I had lying around.

It's like a whole different ball game, now. When I take my dog for a walk I bring the little light and stach it in my pocket instead of fumbling round with a 6D dragon dildo.

Damn, that's what I was like with the maglite - lenser transition. Didn't think it'd be anything special ( gift from a friend ) but quickly became a favorite of mine. ( plus damn, only changed the batteries once in it, that's insane )

I also got a belt clip. Not necessary but nice to have.

I lost mine a while back, got a supertool. But the supertool just isnt as convenient as the surge. Surges are well worth the money. You really don't know how nice the knives and scissors are on the outside.

I used mine to fix the shitty lab equipment i had most of the time

the only problem i really have with is, is the bolster isnt really sturdy. if your had were to slip forward, which it most likely wont happen due to the handle material being so grippy and textured. the bolster would just bend out of the way.... also an issue thats much more "me" specific, it did not come nearly as sharp out of the box as i would have hoped, and as much of the other cold steel products
