Ive got an REI passage 1. Its pretty okay. Keeps me dry, its light, and has ample vestibule space.

I actually bought my first tent at the beginning of the year. Vango Banshee 200. Allegedly a 2 man tent but I find it to be snug and I'm 5'7" and not the largest of builds. With my pack, I don't envision getting a second person into that tent with me unless we cosy up real tight... And even then.

Been using it quite some time now, withstood lots of rain and wind. Very good tent.

I just got a Eureka Inntorest 3 for Christmas, it has big vestibules and should stand up to inclement weather like a champ. I only plan on using it when I'm hiking with someone else, I have a bivie sack and tarp for when I'm solo.

It's done pretty good so far. It's small and light, and packs up to 6" diameter x 20" length. It was one of the few tents that I found which has tent poles that are less than 24" long when folded up. I use it mainly for motorcycle camping so I needed a tent that would fold up to a shorter length so it would fit in my drybag that I strap to the back of the bike.

Also, I live in Texas, and with the rain fly off it's almost all netting so that makes it nice for hotter weather. It's done pretty well in cool weather too with the fly on since it covers the tent so well.

Great tent for 3 seasons and a mild (above 0°) winter.

Weights OK as things go, and things snap on perfectly. The connected pole design is a bit awkward when setting it but it makes a nice ceiling usable for two people sitting up rather than a single ceiling spot in the center.

I have the Wal-Mart Ozark version of this tent.

For $50 I am continually surprised by how awesome this tent is for the money. The fly is completely waterproof and seam taped to boot.

The poles are pretty heavy and the actual tent itself has some questionable stitching, but I don't care about that. 5/5 considering how cheap it was and how good the rain fly is.

I also own a Eureka! Spitfire Solo tent. It is freaking awesome, Eureka! makes the best tents for your money in my opinion. They're priced well and are made incredibly well. My Spitfire has stood strong in winds of 50 mph.

I only bought it because the price seemed too good to be true. I don't think I'd use it for an extended period of time (it's much too heavy), but for car camping and the occasional overnighter it is great.

Here is my shitty Hillary tent I got when I was a boy scout back in 1992. It no longer holds out water so I always hang a tarp over it. I would be fine to just sleep under the tarp but my girlfriend wants a tent. This picture was taken after said girlfriend gave me a good morning blow job and my hot female cousin brought me bacon! 1. Hillberg Nallo 4 GT (for the family hiking).. Awesome, bombproof 4 person, 4 season tunnel weighing only 3,2 kg. Pretty expensive though...

Definately comfy as fuck -- tiny bit on the heavy side, though, at 11 kg (24 pounds..). Awesome lavvo used almost exclusively when I dont have to carry too far -- i.e., canoeing, biking, skiing with pulk or even holiday car-camping at designated sites in Europe. Cotton breathes. In winter I always have a nice little fire going in the center of the tent -- warm and comfy as fuck. Did I say it was comfy as fuck?

Extremely durable. For the weight, its bombproof.
Weight is out there so one person takes the tent the other takes all of the food.

Its a Polish made tent that has seen years of use.

REI Half Dome (2?)

Its lightweight, spring-fall weather worthy, and packs relatively small. I've taken it on solo trips with decent elevation gain doing ~20 miles a day. It definitely isn't a winter worthy tent though.

What would be the issue with using it in the winter? Snow buildup on the roof?

Seems like the biggest issue is strength of the poles to handle snow, dunno if the half dome oculd handle it or not, it seems like a pretty sturdy tent.

I couldn't tell you. It's heavy for its size because the bottom is reinforced and the rain fly is reinforced. Maybe 4.5lbs. It's a tough little tent for sure. What the photos fail to show is the other side of the rain fly. There are two openings to the tent, and the rain fly extends all the way to the ground allowing you to leave your backpack and other shit covered from severe weather.

Copper Spur seems to have the fewest complaints in rei reviews. Fly Creek sounds like it is just incredibly fragile even for a 2 lb tent. Snapped poles, broken zippers, tears and busted seams. Same with the Hubba, plus everyone hates the new fly design.

I picked up one of them for $30 About 3 or 4 years ago. Spent another 30 on metal poles and better spikes and for $60 total I got a nice little 5lb tent that has held up better then my friends $300 tent
