2. Learning to hunt is much easier now with the youtubes and online forums. And someone local from these places will likely befriend you and help you out if you need it too.
3. Alaska is pretty overrated considering the 9 month winters I would imagine.

Only one route AFAIK but it goes all over to different places like Seward, Denali national park, Fairbanks, talkeetna, Anchorage etc.

I think I paid about $300/$400 but I went gold star (first class) on the way from Fairbanks and coach on the way back. It was worth it IMO but if you go coach both ways it can cost you under $200 depending on the length of the trip and all that and you might still get some pretty great seats. I just don't like being squished but I wasn't either way

I know that feel bro but hang in there. I have considered moving to Alaska and think it's beautiful. Just keep working and trying to find a job that isn't wage slave shit. Even if you get a job that's not ideal, if it pays more it's one step closer to your goal. I currently think I am going to remain in Texas and move to the hill country in the end and get a plot of 20 acres or so. I have gotten so used to the warmth and love feral hog hunting so I am happy where I am, I just would rather get out of Austin. I will definitely go back to Alaska and shoot a black bear for that sweet sweet blueberry fat and meat. Keep your goals in mind and have that drive you to your goals. Yeah man. I always wanted to live in Texas because I like the cowboy culture and all the hunting and fishing, but when I discovered the Hill Country I made it my goal to get a ranch there. I can hunt feral hogs all year around and it's nice and warm. As much as I love Alaska which I do, the Hill Country has grown on me a ton and I feel incredibly happy when I go there which has been every weekend for the past month. I was looking all over Texas to find out where I'd want to permanently settle and it's nice to have hillier land that has variety. Pretty much the goal is buy some less expensive acres, prob 15 to 20, get some property exemptions and pull a manufactured home out onto it, hunt and live life. Also improve my trapping and bushcraft skills.

I'm not spiritually on the exact same page as the guy as he's a bit extreme, but he did show me what to look for with pigs and showed me how to field dress that son of a bitch. And living on land you don't own and paying a fraction of it's value is exploitative of the owner but no one complains because the land owner gets paid and the renter has a place to live without having to have a lot of capital up front. Mutual exploitation is how the world works

The reason I know how and why you think the way you do is because everyone has been there. Don't think for a moment you're special, you're feeling the same way everyone else has at some point and the fact that you responded to my post not with acceptance but with defiance shows you still don't understand that you can learn something from everyone you encounter.

I'm telling you we've all been there and when you get past this stage of being some enlightened person who understands the world better than everyone you'll realise that the difference between the people who are living their dreams and the people who aren't isn't that the people who are "slaves" didn't realise they were slaves it's that they didn't have the guts to do what they had to do to make their dreams reality.

There's no secret to success all it takes is commitment and time but when offered the choice of spending time and energy on something that seems like it won't happen versus a steady job and enough money to blow some every weekend on a hobby most people choose the safer option. That doesn't make them slaves it means they're more risk averse than others.

There's no one way to live your life properly and if you continue to look down on others who chose a different path to you then you'll continue to not see the big picture

As for the dickhead who smelled some anti-American sentiment in my post, I was specifically refering to slavery being a dirty word in America which is why the original guy was so pleased he was able to call people wage slaves, it wasn't anything more than that
