>>63944Turkey Path is an absolute bitch. It is not something for the everyday hiker. Experience and fitness are almost a must.
>>59212I've fucked around Centralia just to see how nature can taken over a town... congrats on the 00000 btw...
>>46340Rickett's Glen is assholes to elbows during the warm season. Great sights, awesome waterfalls, but not somewhere you want to go to get away from people unless you go way off the normal paths.
>>47337town is total shit... best thing there is the cvs and cruising "the strip". one time me and a friend stuck a free beer sign in the back of the truck, drove the three or four blocks, and had 6 hoochies in the bed of the truck wooing their nasty asses off on the way back down the strip. they wanted to go "to the bush" to party. btw: the whole "in the bush" thing is stupid. it's woods. everyone in pa calls it the woods... except for you norry county weirdos. anyway, one girl showed us her flapjack nipples, her friend gave me head to take her back to town early.
to get back on point, almost nothing in central pa is open on mondays, infrastructure is total shit, and don't plan on camping in a state park cabin or yurt without paying at least the same amount as a two to three star hotel.
you can get a permit to camp (almost) anywhere in any state park, but the three times i did, dcnr showed up to make sure we weren't drinking/poaching/raising hell... once at 1 am tapping on my tent with a flashlight.
penns creek is arguably one of the best places for pan fish on the east coast, there a bunch of lakes for small and large mouths, but unless you take the time to make more than a couple of trips to learn the wheres and hows... it's not a place you can just drive to, grab a backpack and go.
the locals are complete assholes btw.
