>>462586Not who you're replying to but coyotes can be dangerous, can prey on humans (although unlikely), and have killed people. It's pretty rare, more or less unheard of on the prairies because we've put the proper fear of man in them, but I guess in the Maritimes they're getting more and more aggressive and accustomed to being around people.
Personally I'm not scared of coyotes from the prairies (I've read that Maritime coyotes have interbred with wolves and are much larger and more aggressive though) but at the same time I wouldn't trust them. If they approached me I would throw rocks and scare them off.
You Canadabro? Moose are definitely top tier of my worries when bushwacking. I'd rather run into a bear than a moose, ESPECIALLY if its during rut. Black bears aren't too bad. Usually do their own thing and leave you alone, still pretty wary of them though.
Grizzlies scare the ever loving shit out of me though. Polars too but if you aren't scared of a Polar Bear (even if you'll never encounter one in the wild) you're a goddam idiot. Remember reading an article about a guy kayaking up in the territories and having a polar bear swim after him for several miles trying to catch and eat him. Fuck polar bears so hard.
