Haven't been camping since. It's been 1.5 years. Camping at its best was awesome, at its worst it sucked.
Best:
>camping
>woods
>hiking
>solitude
Middle:
>cooking
>mildly spooky wilderness
>skipping rocks
Annoying:
>mud
>falling in rivers (never happened to me, master race or just total pussy?)
>peeing without a bathroom
>putting on boots and a coat to pee
>taking off boots when entering a tent
Sucks:
>some troop activities (not strictly /out/)
>temperatures below 32 degrees F
>camping in the snow
>cleaning cookware
>being pretty sure we're going to die as we drive down country roads hauling huge trailers
>thorny plants
>poison ivy etc.
>2spooky wilderness
>pooping without a bathroom (if the trip is short enough you can avoid this)
