Get a synthetic sleeping bag if you can as down will get wet and leave you cold.
Black bears are an issue on the South Shore get some bearspray and don't ever run from a bear.
100% DEET works well 30-35% does not.
Most of the Lakes such as Dennet, Munro, Garibaldi, Lynn are frozen till at least April as late as June. There is lots of snow up high and avalanches are a real threat. Snowshoes or ski's if heading up there cause postholing fucking sucks.
Chilliwack Valley has a lot of rednecks and hunters, not a very good place to keep a low profile if that is your thing.
Golden Ears is having an issue with the homeless, Fish and Game/Parks service are all over.
