I've been trying to do some research on outdoor GPS's but there is simply too many shill reviews and lack of the necessary information.
I was hoping some cunning anons had experiences with outdoor gps.
I like being outdoor alot, but my first 3 months were guided by the polaris (lol primitive i know) then I finally got my compass.
However, I want to upgrade to an outdoor GPS, any recommendations? Also here are a few of my questions.
1.
>I have built 3 campsites, far from civilization. I'm forced to remember these places by memory, is it possible for a GPS to save these places, like a permanent marker?
2.
>Does GPS connection cost money to be uplinked, similiar to phones?
3.
>Does your GPS show detailed view of riverbanks, density of forest, hills?
4.
>Is it possible to put a lock or password on it like a phone?
5.
>Is my gps cordinates anonymous? Phones are known to be easily tracked through triangulation
Any recommendations? Please help, they are so expensive so I dont want to buy one that doesnt work so good and regret it.
