I have much "nicer" knives that could potentially outperform the Mora, but they cost much more. They're just like gifts to myself.
People mention things like the rat tail tang and the handle being epoxied in...but I don't give a shit. I don't baton with knives. I use a small, old Council hatchet that I restored and hanged because axes are axes and knives are knives and things in between are dumb.The only one tool to rule them all that I can think of could be the Varustuleka Skrama and that's as much as 5 Mora 612s (my preferred Mora) and my hatchet. And I'd still take an axe and a knife.
I also do come from a background of "good enough is good enough," though I definitely will drop coin on something that's worth it, so if you have to spend lots of money to feel satisfied, you won't agree with me.
