Otherwise, I'm sure you're aware of DEET bug repellent and (I've mentioned this before) you might consider a Thermocell bug repeller.
I thought they were bullshit but my buddy got and it works (as long as it isn't windy) so I got one and use it when preparing to go to bed, turning it on a few mins prior and leaving the tent door open.
Yes, I said I leave the tent door open, so any bugs trying to get in the tent are repelled by the Thermocell gadget, which as an effective range of about 3'-4' but in breezy/windy conditions, it'll only repel bugs on the down-wind side.
I've also noticed outdoor catalogs are now pushing "permethrin" bug repellent, which is sprayed on clothes and gear (not the skin) but I dunno how effective it is;
