Never been to the Sharm el Sheik area, always avoided it like the plague (too many German tourists, fuck german tourists). Been on 40+ dives in the area south of Marsa Alaam (Ras Banas, etc.), would strongly recommend it. Nobody is there, cleanest reefs I've seen in my life. Not so many wrecks as up north, but there's a couple good ones (El Qaher). I'd strongly recommend going there rather than Sharm

Nitrox, safety and more time. I always take nitrox, even with a "regular air" buddy, just because I don't trust the club's filters (might be over paranoid tho, only once I encounter a club with really filthy ones).
