Ontario has some good knives, and they have some not so good knives. I'd say the Ontario RAT 1 and RAT 2 are both great budget folders. AUS-8 is a good steel for their pricerange, and they have a good track record. They're not a Sebenza by any means, but not all of us want, need, or have the money for a Sebenza.

Also, I'd the US has a pretty large amount of good knife makers, be they custom or production. TOPS, ESEE, Benchmade, Spyderco, Case, Kabar (the US made Kabars are superior). Obviously there are many other countries that produce great knives, Sweden especially, along with Norway, Finland, Switzerland, etc. Look at Fallkniven and Samekniv for example.
