Bics are cheap, solid lighters and therfore good for being one of your firestarting methods, at least in most climates. People do pretty much the same thing as they do with Moras. It gets kind of annoying IMO because it turns into actual retarded debates between "Bics/Moras are the absolute best there is" and "they're for poor retards, get a real knife/you should only make a fire using a bow drill/etc., but whatever.
Honestly, /out/ is just sort of starting to suck, IMO. Every week there are 12 new "I'm an angsty teenager, how do I live in the woods?" threads, 17 new "look at this knife/hatchet" thread, 8 fucking gun debate threads, and 3 decent outdoors-focused threads.
