last time i tried to go camping in PA, a couple of cops showed up and surrounded me and my brother with their guns drawn, we almost got shot. they were literally holding us at gun point for 5 minutes just itching for a reason. know your over night laws.

yeah, my dad's family had a house in the poconos, he basically grew up riding dirt bikes on the access roads and trails. i spent at least two weeks up there every summer, running around on the boulder field, fishing on the ccc dam and swimming at hawk falls.

damn, i need to get back out there.

I'm from north Jersey and if you're willing to make the trip, Harriman state park and Bear mountain are two pretty good places when you get away from the beaten path. Nice heavily forested hills and mountains, with lots of water bodies and streams, quite nice.
