>>482556>implying you never lied>implying people who take his advice aren't aware of the lie>Implying that lying about your resume has any relevance to the current information he provides nowThe guy isn't a saint by any means, but it's not exactly like he's committed some great injustice either. Does it say something about his character? Yeah, but the idea that you can't ever take advice from someone who has lied is a bit ridiculous. He provides a lot of knowledge free of charge, and doesn't shill his own products. I respect him as a recreational woodsman and business man, not his TV career. No one is saying he did the right thing, people just look past it to see the information he provides.
If you don't like him, that's fine man. Honestly I'm more fond of Ray Mears, but I find both men, as well as Codey Lundin to be men who have worldly knowledge on the subject of recreational bushcraft.
>>482451I don't own one of those haversacks, I use a Serbian surplus shoulder bag I found, and it fills the role alright. I use it with my German Surplus Rucksack. Huh, never really thought about it, but a lot of my kit is military surplus I guess. Anyhow, I don't see the need to shell out $40 for a shoulder bag IMO. You can find cheaper options. Probably won't be oilskin though.
